APPLE PAY的專利討論

APPLE PAY最近在台灣開通，看來頗為新奇，其實就是一個老技術：行動支付，只是大家各有巧妙，APPLE PAY還不是最厲害的（有空找一下"空付"...），只是將來就比誰方便（設定與支付動作簡化）、安全性（不能被駭）、可倚賴性（不能偶爾失效）、市佔比（多數商店支援，最好夜市也可以），也一定是大者恆大（這廢話）。
就果粉的忠誠度與裝置單一性（就iPhone幾隻）來看，APPLE PAY絕對會成功。而且，APPLE這幾年向來只會被自己新產品策略性打敗，少被人打敗。

編按：以上是我的前言，我從沒擁有任何一支iPhone，曾經有過的手機多數是等別人淘汰的手機，這樣，有可能也會等到iPhone。(編按，updated on Aug. 17, 2023，今年等到iPhone XS，在此順便更正本篇名稱，竟然寫錯了6年)

如果這是Apple的重要戰略，顯然專利等相關智慧財產的佈局不會少，也不用等我找，一定很多人在看了，這裡僅提出一點點筆記。

看了半天的蘋果有關支付的專利，佈局不少，而且多國佈局，專利不脫有幾個特徵：手機、生物特徵、指紋、NFC與使用者介面，雖有早於2010年的專利，但若是針對Apple Pay，大約是2014年開始佈局。

「商標」一定有，然後就是「使用者介面」，UI是蘋果技術的核心之一，可以用實用專利（utility patent）與設計（design）佈局。

請求項1（尚未獲准專利）揭示一種電子裝置，有天線、介面電路與安全元件，安全元件用來：接收交易金額、產生憑證、與另一裝置通訊、建立連線、提供簽章、接收交易的資訊後，傳送相關資訊給伺服器。

1. An electronic device, comprising:

an antenna;

an interface circuit, coupled to the antenna and a secure element, configured to communicate with another electronic device; and

the secure element configured to:

receive a transaction amount associated with a financial transaction;

generate, using an encryption key associated with the secure element, a signed blob based on the transaction amount and a merchant identifier;

communicate, via the interface circuit, connection information between the electronic device and the other electronic device;

establish, via the interface circuit, a connection between the electronic device and the other electronic device based on the connection information;

provide, via the interface circuit, the signed blob to the other electronic device;

receive, via the interface circuit, a signed transaction blob from the other electronic device using the connection, wherein the signed transaction blob includes the transaction amount, the merchant identifier, and financial-account information that specifies a financial account; and

provide, via the interface circuit, information associated with the signed transaction blob to a server to conduct the financial transaction.
